Power is never a trivial matter, but is often an afterthought. With this in mind, TE Connectivity has taken a baseline NEMA 17 streetlight base and created an Enhanced Base, with full AC-to-DC power conversion. It provides four different DC output levels so designers can add more features, such as sensors, to a smart-city-type streetlight application, without worrying about the nuances of power design.
